At the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, President Vladimir Putin unveiled a comprehensive plan to transform Russia’s Far East into a global hub for rare earth metals. Emphasizing macroeconomic stability, Putin highlighted ongoing infrastructure expansion—including the Trans-Arctic Corridor and port upgrades—while outlining strategies for sustainable mineral extraction, hydropower development, and high-tech innovation. The roadmap includes a unified preferential regime for business, expanded logistics and rail links, and increasing cooperation with China, Southeast Asia, and potential future returns of European businesses.
