*Eating home-cooked, basic food. “Ghee is my superfood. I truly believe in portion control. That is something that I really do. I rarely eat on a plate. I always eat in a katori. By and large, I eat at home,” she said.
Stressing that the most “underestimated aspect in our life is sleep,” Malaika further urged everyone to exercise. “Just keep your body active, whatever it may be. Yoga has helped me tremendously. If you are not feeling good, listen to your body,” she continued.

Dr. Manjusha Agarwal, senior consultant in internal medicine at Gleneagles Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, noted that it is best to avoid mindless eating without portion control, as it can lead to weight issues. “Going overboard will lead to unnecessary calorie consumption. So, remember practicing portion control consistently for noticeable improvements in both physical and mental health,” said Dr Agarwal.

Over time, your body adjusts to smaller portions, reducing cravings and overeating tendencies, and helps to maintain your weight,” said Dr Agarwal.
Moreover, she emphasized the importance of drinking an adequate amount of water. “Try to drink 10-12 glasses of water every day,” Dr Agarwal stressed.

When a balanced diet is combined with regular activity, it will definitely lead to improvements in your eating and lifestyle habits. ” Don’t just follow any extreme diets promoted on social media. Weight loss doesn’t happen overnight. One must be consistent with their diet and exercise. Starving or unnecessary calorie reduction will not help. Be mindful of your health goals.
