Content network service provider Cloudflare announced on Tuesday (August 26, 2025) a new Zero Trust platform for enterprises to securely adopt, build and deploy GenAI applications. Companies can use this service to analyze and control how Gen AI is used in their organizations to ensure privacy and curtail AI slop.Â
The company’s AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), built into the Zero Trust platform, can help organizations identify shadow AI practices in the company. That means, the platform can point at instances of unauthorised AI use in the company through a Shadow AI Report.Â
Cloudflare notes that there could be a number of security risks associated with GenAI platforms as engineers accidentally paste confidential data into AI chatbot or deploy AI apps without necessary guardrails.Â
Cloudflare’s Gateway features can enforce AI policies on edge so security teams can block unapproved AI apps, limit the data uploaded, and review the AI tools.Â
Another feature called AI Prompt Protection helps security teams identify risky employee chats with AI models and flags them. Employees will be warned early or blocked from submitting sensitive data into unsecured AI platforms.Â
Separately, a Zero Trust MCP Server Control feature consolidates all MCP tool calls on single dashboard. This in turn allows Cloudflare to control all MCP calls.
