The makers of Tamil actor-director Dhanush’s upcoming film, Idli Kadai, unveiled the film’s trailer on Saturday (September 20). The film, Dhanush’s fourth directorial, is all set to release in theatres on October 1.
The trailer offers glimpses of a story about Murugan (Dhanush), a top chef who quits his high-profile job at a five-star hotel to reconnect with his roots and save his father’s (Rajkiran) idli shop from bankruptcy. However, this doesn’t bode well with his boss (Arun Vijay), who threatens to dismantle Murugan’s shop. The trailer promises to be an emotional drama, in the lines of Ustad Hotel, with an action twist.
Idli Kadai also starsNithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Shalini Pandey, Geetha Kailasam, Parthiban, and Samuthirakani in prominent roles. Notably, Nithya is reuniting with Dhanush after their hit movie Thiruchitrambalam (2022).
With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the film has cinematography by Kiran Koushik and editing by Prasanna GK. Idli Kadai is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films in association with Aakash Baskaran’s Dawn Pictures. Inban Udhayanidhi is releasing the film under his Red Giant Movies banner.
