For anyone tuned into American rap culture, Tyga’s love for living large is no surprise. Luxe, diamonds, cash—his tracks are a blueprint for extravagance, and now his home is too.
The rapper recently snapped up a stunning penthouse in Barcelona, a space that mirrors his music with its mix of style and swagger. Chic design, opulent hallways, and panoramic views—it feels like a West Coast dream transplanted into Europe.
Not one to keep fans guessing, Tyga invited Architectural Digest for an exclusive peek into his European haven. The tour begins, fittingly, with the view.
Channelling the bravado of his own lyrics, “Look up and see the palm trees, **** everybody,” the hip-hop mogul beams with pride showing off the spectacular view dotted with palm trees, rolling hills, an unhurried city, and the glimmering Mediterranean.
“With that view, one can indeed stop giving two dimes about everybody else! “That’s really what sold me on this spot,” he says. “You see the whole city now. Palm trees, beaches, the ocean… it’s just a vibe.”
The penthouse is a study in white—minimalist, serene, and effortlessly modern. Pops of colour and curated art break the monotony. “I wanted something modern and clean,” he explains. “All white furniture, very minimal… and then just add some character with colour or art.”
That character shines through his prized collection of Japanese art toys—KAWS figures and Bearbricks—arranged like high-design sculptures. Batman, a panda, and even a Squid Game guard stand guard in his living space. “The original KAWS is probably my favourite,” Tyga says, pointing to the two-tone figure that’s followed him since his LA days.

The oversized couches, positioned for maximum view-gazing, are equally attention-grabbing. Plush and oversized, they look built for lounging. “The couch, the windows open, the palm trees—Barcelona has a lot of greenery, which I love. It just feels like a vacation all the time,” he says.
Upstairs, Tyga’s private sanctuary awaits. His favourite chill zone is an open-air terrace, complete with a plunge pool, beach-club furniture, and sweeping views of the city. “I bring friends up here, we sit by the pool, and you’ve got the whole landscape of Barcelona right here,” he shares.
For Tyga, a home is more than a backdrop—it’s an extension of self. “It should reflect the energy you want to live in every day,” he says. That explains why the décor is still evolving.
“The more time I spend here, I’ll get more ideas. Probably add more art… maybe some neon signs,” he muses. Chances are, the next glimpse into his penthouse will unveil a fresh new vibe—and maybe even inspire his next hit track.
