Anup Jalota entered Bigg Boss 12 with singer Jasleen Matharu, and their alleged relationship created quite a stir; every headline carried their names. But what was the reality behind their equation? Jalota, in a recent conversation, slammed claims of a romantic relationship and said he was never romantically involved with Jasleen, adding that she lied on stage in front of Salman Khan. Now, after Anup Jalota’s interview has gone viral, netizens are bashing him for lying.

Another commented, “Phir game ke andar aapne kya-kya kiya, sabne dekha tha, sir.” “He is lying,” a third user said. While one wrote, “Jalota ji ki itni saaf chhavi hai ki yahan bhi saaf safed jhooth hi bol rahe hain, log sab samajhte hain.”
What did Anup Jalota say?
In a conversation with Lallantop, Anup was questioned about his participation with Jasleen and the reality of their relationship, to which he shared, “She once told me that she received an offer to participate in Bigg Boss. I said, that’s great, you will earn fame. She used to dance in groups and sing at that time.”
“But there was a condition that you could only come as a weird pair that season. I asked her to take Sukhwinder ji, but she told me he had declined. Even I said no, I won’t go. I didn’t have time, there were so many concerts. Her father came and convinced me. I said yes, but only on one condition—that we would go as guru and shishya. She agreed,” Anup Jalota added.
While further slamming Jasleen for lying on stage in front of Salman Khan, the bhajan singer stated, “I entered the stage and met Salman Khan. Then, Jasleen was welcomed as my partner. When Salman asked if she was my shishya, she said that she had been in a relationship with me for three years. I thought, ‘Yeh kya ho gaya?’ We never even knew each other that well.”
“I was shocked, but I thought this might be part of the game, kisi ne toh use yeh padhaaya hoga bolne ke liye. When we were going inside, I asked her about it. Main samajh gaya tha isse kuch game banta hai, ya toh Bigg Boss waalon ne bola hoga, usse ek afwaah uthti hai. I never confronted her. Main samajh gaya tha ki peeche koi khel hua hai, shayad uska use koi fayda hi hoga, and she benefitted,” he added.
While further talking about the controversy that Jasleen’s statement triggered, Anup Jalota stated that he called a press conference with Jasleen’s father and clarified the situation to the media. “We told them that both of us have decided that we will do the kanyadaan at Jasleen’s wedding. Ab sawaal konsa rahega poochne wala? Baat hi khatam ho gayi. The doubts went away because no one saw us together at any party, watching films, performing on stage, or on any vacations.”
