Rakul Preet Singh’s fresh-faced, down-to-earth look is pretty easy to replicate, thanks to the quick makeup video she uploaded to her social media. Think a soft wash of colour on her lips, rosy cheeks and a hint of shimmer on the eyes to take on the day.
“Because bohot achhe se kaise karte hai ye toh bohot log dikhate hai, but I’m going to show you how to do it in just 5 minutes,” the actor is heard saying at the start.
Let’s decode her makeup routine
First step, foundation. After your morning routine, take a nice brush and add two drops of your foundation. Apply it evenly all over your face. “Make sure you don’t miss your eye area,” she warned.
“Opt for hydrating foundations that provide a flawless, long-lasting finish, ensuring your skin looks radiant throughout the day despite the winter chill and dry air,” said Dheeraj Bansal, Co-Founder of Recode Studios.
Next, she applies a bit of under-eye concealer. While many people prefer using a sponge, Singh uses her finger to dab in and blend the product. “I just find it easier to blend in with my fingers,” she said. After that, she takes a contour stick and swipes two thick lines on her cheeks and two parallel lines down her nose. “This is my most favourite part because I love a chiselled look,” she added.
Muskan Jain, Brand Manager at MARS Cosmetics, said that the pursuit of a flawless, glowing complexion has inspired the ethereal skin trend, which allows real skin to peek through. “Lightweight foundations and highlighters with dewy finishes became indispensable. This trend highlights how beauty is as much about texture and finish as it is about colour,” she added.
To even things out, she applies a layer of loose powder to set the cream products in place. Once the face is powdered and airbrushed, she takes her contouring brush to add a bit more depth and dimension to her face. For a quick look, she dabs some eyeshadow on her fingers and blends it in, also suggesting using her cream contour stick for a soft wash of colour.
“And if you are stepping out, you can put a little sheen,” she recommended, adding some blush on the apples of her cheeks. The second-to-last step of her routine includes a soft pink lipstick, and for the final step, she applies a light coat of mascara.

Dr Ritu Kashikar, founder of The Real Ritual, said that the right lipstick is the ultimate accessory, and choosing creamy, nourishing formulas designed to deliver smooth application, hydrating comfort, and all-day wear should be the key to unlock confidence. “Whether you’re going for a bold, statement lip or a subtle, natural finish, play around with shades of pink and berry tones for added Christmas cheer this holiday season,” she added.
