Television stars Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar have long been adored for their on-screen charm and off-screen sincerity. From their reel-life beginnings to their real-life marriage, the couple has shared their highs and lows openly with fans, recently even documenting Dipika’s diagnosis of cancer.
In recent years, their journey into parenthood, with the birth of their son Ruhhaan, has added a new layer of joy, responsibility, and relatability to their public life. Amid work, parenting, and home responsibilities, they continue to keep fans close through their vlogs, offering intimate glimpses into their everyday moments.
In a video shared just about a year ago, the couple took viewers on a heartwarming tour of their new family home, which was still under renovation at the time, but already brimming with emotion and energy. “Aap sab log bol rahe ho tour dekhna hai… to jitna ghar ready hua hai, utna tour dikha do,” Dipika smiles, convincing Shoaib to share the space as it is, raw and real.
From a corridor lit up with bright strip lighting designed with photoshoots in mind — “Ye humne aise banwaya hai ke photography ke liye accha backdrop mile” — to baby Ruhhaan’s closet, every part of the house is curated with intent. Shoaib shares, “Yahan pe unit aayega jahan pe trophies wagairah hongi saari,” gesturing to a living area corner that’s awaiting a custom unit for displaying career milestones.
The walkthrough feels refreshingly relatable. The couple discuss unpacked boxes, half-done wardrobes, unfinished paint jobs and dreams taking shape. Dipika gently reminds viewers, “Yeh 50% kaam ho gaya hai, 50% bacha hai, jo I think 15-20 din mein ho jaayega.” This openness about living amidst renovations, juggling a newborn, and managing everyday life offers a peek into their grounded domestic reality.
At the centre of it all is the presence of their child Ruhhaan, who wakes mid-tour and redirects their plans. “Ab har cheez uske hisaab se, uske waqt ke hisaab se hoti hai,” Shoaib says tenderly, pausing to prioritise fatherhood over filming.
From deep wood wardrobes for Shoaib’s father to a future internal balcony: “Ye ek internal balcony-type ka set-out ho jaayega, ki aap aaram se baith sako”. Shoaib’s favourite moments come to life in soft-spoken frames: “Dekho bohot hi pyara sa, cute sa moment hai, Dipika Ruhhaan ko sula rahi thi… maine capture kiya.”

The house is not luxurious in the Bollywood sense but feels lived-in. There’s attention to utility, and family making. As Shoaib says, “50% kaam ho gaya hai… inshallah sab ho jaayega,” there’s a hope in his voice, something every home builder and homemaker can relate to.
