Television stars Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar have long been adored for their on-screen charm and off-screen sincerity. From a corridor lit up with bright strip lighting designed with photoshoots in mind — “Ye humne aise banwaya hai ke photography ke liye accha backdrop mile” — to baby Ruhhaan’s closet, every part of the house is curated with intent. Shoaib shares, “Yahan pe unit aayega jahan pe trophies wagairah hongi saari,” gesturing to a living area corner that’s awaiting a custom unit for displaying career milestones.
The walkthrough feels refreshingly relatable. The couple discuss unpacked boxes, half-done wardrobes, unfinished paint jobs and dreams taking shape. Dipika gently reminds viewers, “Yeh 50% kaam ho gaya hai, 50% bacha hai, jo I think 15-20 din mein ho jaayega.” This openness about living amidst renovations, juggling a newborn, and managing everyday life offers a peek into their grounded domestic reality.
At the centre of it all is the presence of their child Ruhhaan, who wakes mid-tour and redirects their plans. “Ab har cheez uske hisaab se, uske waqt ke hisaab se hoti hai,” Shoaib says tenderly, pausing to prioritise fatherhood over filming.
